The closing ceremony of the 2023 Global Digital Economy Conference was held on the afternoon of 7 July 2023 at the China National Convention Center. School of Law of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Beijing Borui Open Policy Research Institute jointly signed a co-operation agreement at the closing ceremony. Then two parties will cooperate on research and talent cultivation on global governance of cyberspace.

The Beijing Borui Open Policy Research Institute is a new type of research institute set up by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, which mainly undertakes theoretical and practical research on the strategic planning for the construction of the two zones assigned by the Leading Group of the Two Zones and its office. It also proposes policy recommendations for continuous innovation of the open economy system, and provides intellectual support for Beijing's high level of openness to promote the construction of a new development pattern.

In the future, the BIT School of Law and the Beijing Borui Open Policy Research Institute will rely on BIT's strengths in cyber technology, artificial intelligence, and big data to carry out research on strategic planning related to the governance of the digital economy, and to integrate the existing academic strengths and talents of both parties in an orderly manner, and to actively promote the cross-fertilisation of different disciplines and collaborative innovation , such as law, computer science, information management, economics, and journalism and communication. The main topics of cooperation include: "The impact of digital technology on the traditional legal sector and its governance" "The construction of the rule of law in the governance of the digital economy" "The internationalization of the governance of the digital economy" "Comparative Study of Digital Economic Governance" and so on.This cooperation will open up avenues of communication, promote the exchange and cultivation of talents, strengthen the synergy and linkage between industry-university-research , and provide intellectual support for Beijing's high-level opening up and the promotion of the construction of a new development pattern.
